Xeriscaping has 3 basic parts
- 1. Learning to lower water usage and conserve water
- 2. Installing waterwise plants and landscape to accomplish that
- 3. Installing better sprinkler, drip and irrigation parts to save and reduce water
Xeriscape benefits are as simple as easier mowing, less maintenance and of course less water usage. You
can start by designing an area for water conservation with creating manageable grass and plant areas, as
well as selecting and grouping low water plants with similar water needs. Use soil amendments (such as
compost or manure) and use mulch to reduce evaporation and keep the soil cool. Sprinkler systems can
also be designed that efficiently and timely irrigate your area.
We can do a site visit and check your system for leaks, suggest repairs and areas of improvement that
could get you a rebate on your watering bill.
We set up your sprinkler controller/timer for the best watering and waterwise coverage. Finally, we
make recommendations on replacing any dead sod, removing weeds, aerating, and fertilizing with
environmentally friendly fertilizers that will revitalize your soil.
